Project : FNRG-CHINA : BIOMASS

Location
:
Northern China
Feedstock Type
:
Biomass from agricultural waste
Renewable Energy
:
More than 20MW Electrical Power
Project Status
:
Design Phase
Project Brief
:

In this province of Northern China, the biomass from agricultural waste has been traditionally disposed by dumping or open burning. In addition to being an eyesore and a fire hazard in the dry summer months, the indiscriminately dumped biomass decomposes and generates methane, a gas which has a Global Warming Potential 20 times greater than CO2.

Burning biomass generates a tremendous amount of smoke in addition to combustion gases such as CO2 which further damages the environment.

The biomass gasification project being developed by FutureNrg offers many advantages to the community and to the local government :

1
Generation of renewable fuel from biomass waste which is widely available. This fuel is then used to generate more than 20MW of electrical power for export to the power grid.
2
Generating revenue from the export and sale of electrical power to the power grid.
3
Gasification residue in the form of char is produced which can be used for soil treatment as organic fertiliser.
4
Protects the environment by efficient conversion of biomass waste to renewable energy.
5
Creates jobs and improves the quality of life of the community.
